FAQ

Q:

Where do I go for online registration/submission support?

A:

Contact the contest administrator, Ellen Frihart at scholasticart@tulsacc.edu or by phone at 918-595-7047. Your question will be answered as quickly as possible. On occasion, a consultation with tech support is needed which may take 1 or 2 days.

Q:

How do I get an access code?

A:

Students:To enter the awards program you must be a student at a school in Oklahoma that has been entered into our system. If your school has been entered, the art teachers at your school will receive an access code that they can share with you so that you can enter. Teachers:Your school should have received a letter with your access code and other registration information. If not, then you need to contact our program administrator, Ellen Frihart at scholasticart@tulsacc.edu or by phone at 595-7047 to get your school's access code. It can be emailed to you for immediate registration.

Q:

Does each teacher need their own access code?

A:

No, each school is issued one access code for use by all of its teachers and students.

Q:

Can I register without a school or teacher?

A:

Participation in the OK Regional Scholastic Art Awards is open to students in grades 7-12; enrolled in any Oklahoma public, private or parochial school, home school or community based organization. The registration process must be started by a public or private school principal or teacher; home school or community art program leader or teacher; or private art school teacher.

Q:

I get something called "Rails Error" when trying to register. What went wrong?

A:

More than likely you have not entered the email address correctly. Missing only one letter or dot in the address could cause a Rails Error.

Q:

I have filled out the registration page but I am not receiving the return email from the Scholastic website to finalize the registration. What should I do?

A:

First, check to make sure that the correct email address was used when you registered. If not, start the registration process over again from the beginning using the correct email address. If the email address is correct but not working, chances are that our return verification email may not be getting past your computer's spam guard. First, you might check your computer security settings and adjust them to a lower setting. If this doesn't work, try signing up using a different email address such as a free yahoo account and re-register using that as your address.

Q:

I have tried to register 3 or 4 times and I can't get the return email for verification. What should I do?

A:

It may be because the system is confused by all of the attempts to register. Contact the contest administrator at scholasticart@tulsacc.edu for help. The contest administrator will contact you by email as quickly as possible.

Q:

Are schools limited to the number of students they can enter?

A:

There is no limit set by the Scholastic Art Awards as to how many students a school can enter. Your particular school may have a limit as to how many students they can support; check with your teacher or school counselor.

Q:

Is there a limit to the number of works a student can submit?

A:

There is no limit on the number of pieces a student can enter as long as the corresponding processing fees are paid.

Q:

What are the specifications for saving and labeling my digital images?
